Catholic Education & Children’s Mental Health Week at St. Brendan

This year’s Catholic Education Week (May 3rd – May 7th, 2021) theme is Nurturing Hope. This theme helps us as a Catholic community to navigate these uncharted times together.  In his recent Easter Vigil service, Pope Francis said “In these dark months of the pandemic, let us listen to the risen Lord as he invites us to begin anew and never lose hope.” In God’s plan, there is always a tomorrow that waits for us, and hope enables us to remember and to look forward to tomorrow, even when we may be feeling sad or confused.

In keeping with the theme of hope, the Gryphons will be participating in a school liturgy on Monday May 03rd, and daily classroom prayer services.  A Provincial Mass on Wednesday May 5th will also occur  at 11 am.  We will send the Provincial livestream link next week for parents to join us.  Please see the SBN Stream Regatta Flyer for details on next week’s Catholic Education Week events.

Also, during CEW we will have a Parent Mental Health Workshop Night on Thursday, May 6th at 6:00 pm. We will share the link and information next week. We look forward to seeing you all there! Thank you, CSC for your continued support in our children’s wellbeing.

A vision of hope is nourished by faith and expressed in love, and each one of us is called to show a commitment to keep growing and learning and building.  We look forward to enriching our faith journey during next week’s Catholic Education Week.
