Trashless Thursday’s Begins

Trashless Thursday’s begins Thursday October 19, 2017 and every Thursday thereafter for the duration of the school year.

Please have your child bring reuseable containers to reduce the amount of waste produced. All garbage will be sent home that is not food waste and recyclables. Thank you for helping keep SBN as Green as can be! The Gryphons Green Team

Early Years Experiences Survey For Parents

Parents of students in Year 1 of kindergarten, have an opportunity to fill in a survey to help the Ministry of Education identify early years experiences that impact student learning and engagement.  Sharing your experiences about child care and participation in community activities will provide insights to support a successful transition to kindergarten and from kindergarten to grade one.

Drop & Go Program

The St. Brendan Drop and Go program will not be running this school year. Unfortunately this parent volunteer run program does not have the number of volunteers needed for the program to run efficiently and more importantly safely. If throughout the year we receive more interest from those in our St. Brendan Community who are able to volunteer we will certainly look into bringing the program

SBN Catholic School Council Elections 2017-2018

The 2017-2018 Catholic School Council elections will take place Thursday September 28 2017 @ 6:30 pm. The Agenda and Constitution pertaining to the election can be found on the Catholic School Council page located in the “Catholic School Council” tab of the school website. Nomination deadline is due to the office by Monday September 25 2017.

All are invite to St. Brendan C.S. for our annual open house.  Meet the staff, learn about your child’s curriculum and visit the classroom.

The York Catholic District School Board recognizes concerns related to pediculosis (head lice) at the school and community level. School Boards across Ontario are demonstrating their commitment to Truth and Reconciliation by providing Land Acknowledgements that honour Indigenous Peoples and traditional lands. At the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB), we echo the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) and the Assembly of Catholic Bishops of Ontario (ACBO) in their response to the Calls to Action through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
